Bantams B1 Champions Again

By Judy Solberg 03/20/2017, 10:30am CDT

The MayPort IceDawg Bantams had about as great of a season as any team could have.  They had an impressive overall record of 31-6-1, and a league record of 21-1-0, along with a remarkable twenty game win streak during the season. The Dawgs were the top seed going into the State Tournament and they were determined to bring their State Championship trophy back home for a second straight year!

The Bantams used their offensive depth in game one of the series against the Dickinson Outlaws, winning, 12-1.  Game two forced the Dawgs to meld their impressive offense together with their capable defense, landing them a W as they beat out the home team, West Fargo, 4-2.  In order for the Dawgs to bring back home their hardware they would need to create the perfect mix of offense and defense to come out on top.  Your MayPort IceDawgs did just that and shut-out number two ranked Mandan, 3-0, to win the B1 State Championship one more time!

Congratulations on a very successful season, Bantams, and a back-to-back B1 State Championship!
